Purpose of Comox Valley DPAC

Comox Valley District Parents Advisory Council (DPAC) is a collective voice of School District #71 parents and guardians.

Formally, DPAC is comprised of up to two representatives from each Comox Valley SD71 school PAC. DPAC council delegates are elected, appointed or otherwise selected by their PAC.

The DPAC is also governed by an elected board of directors comprised of a chair, vice-chair, secretary, and treasurer.

Any parent or guardian with a child registered in SD71 is a member at large of the DPAC and is welcome to attend and participate in DPAC meetings.

We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Upcoming:

Wed September 27 @ 6pm  Lake Trail Middle School

Lake Trail Middle School will be hosting a viewing of Most Likely to Succeed, an award winning, feature length documentary film that examines the history of education in the US (which ours mirrors), revealing the growing shortcomings of conventional education methods in today’s innovative and demanding world.  District leaders will facilitate conversations about the challenges we face, the things we are already doing in our district, and the things we can do to better prepare our youth for their future.  Click here to see the trailer.

Any one interested in the future of education – all ages are welcome.  Babysitting will be provided.
